Last night was a record-breaker in EXECOM meetings. Discussing 33 agenda items, we finished past 11:00 p.m. with a number of discussions on urgent and relevant topics that involve good governance, transparent administration and accountability not only for the delivery of targets but also for the safety of employees as well.
On the other hand, those under the supervision of a manager are expected to behave professionally no matter how much one disagrees with one's superior. In the work place there should be respect, psychological safety, integrity and trust. Without it, the team will not function properly or work cohesively.
Organizations blessed with visionary leaders also need faithful and loyal implementers, those who understand the assignments and know how to row the boat towards the right direction. Those who are not part of the solution become part of the problem.
